ARE YOUR STUDS NOT ON 16-inch CENTER?
The Freedom Clamp is our Patented Design Technology that allows you to install a barn door anywhere. Even when the studs don't line up on 16-inch centers.

No need for headers or facia boards. Bolt directly to the studs and then clamp the track in place. It's that simple. This is the only adjustable spacer for flat track systems.

Guaranteed to be the most flexible and adjustable sliding door hardware on the market.

Supports larger doors up to 2 1/2 inches thick with our extension blocks.

Mounting brackets can be moved to mount directly over each stud.  No more drilling extra holes in the bar.  No more headers or backer boards are required.  Just bolt a Freedom Clamp™ to each stud and then clamp the track in place.

The Freedom Clamp can be used with competitor hardware as well (tracks and rollers) to REPLACE the traditional 1 3/8" spacers. Just purchase a Clamp Kit and follow our simple comprehensive instructions and videos.

Please note that 3rd party rollers must have 3/4" from the center of the roller to the INSIDE of the strap. Freedom Clamps DO NOT work on Pre-Drilled door holes. They will need to be filled and re-installed per OUR instructions. Because the Freedom Clamps  hang down lower than a traditional spacer, the door must be hung lower on the rollers to allow for this extra space.

Can be used with most 3rd party hardware including decorative strap rollers. It does not work with top mount rollers.

You can trash those little round disc spacers. The Freedom Clamp is square and provides a wider surface to prevent drywall damage.

Door Thickness: Up to 1.75 inches (thicker doors with our extension blocks)

Package Includes:

5 or 6 Freedom Clamps
Industrial strength grade 8.8 lag screws
written and video instructions.

To be used with the Freedom Clamp by HardwarEvolution only. This is an extension block that allows you to move your hardware away from the wall to accommodate thicker doors. This part attaches to the back of the Freedom Clamp and you can use as many extensions as you need.

The package includes 5 or 6 extension blocks and longer lag screws.

Support doors of any thickness by purchasing the right quantity of extension blocks.

Q: What kind of door should I buy?

A: The simple answer is that just about anything can be used as a door and with our extension blocks you can go as thick as 2.5-inches. You are only limited by your creativity.

Now, there are many places to purchase doors and there are some THINGS to watch out for. Often times door makers will Pre-Drill the holes for the rollers. You do NOT want them to do this. Our rollers are slightly different than the standard roller in terms of where the holes are located. So, do not have them Pre-Drill the door.

Even if you decide to use our Freedom Clamps only and not purchase our track and rollers, you still don't want the holes pre-drilled. You need to allow for the thickness of our mounting blocks and that will require some extra space at the top of the door.

Other than that, we recommend that you allow for 1-2 inches on either side of the opening for overlap. You want to mount the door at least 1/2" off the floor. And you should plan 1-2 inches of overlap at the top of the opening. So simply add 4-inches to the opening width and 2-inches to the opening height. If you have casing around the door then I like to completely cover the casing when the door is closed.
